Breaking the barriers – 30% pt with rheumatological diseases have lung diseases which are major causes of death. Such patient management requires a team approach between a rheumatologist and a lung doctor. Unfortunately, physicians often end up working in their own “silos”, which results in suboptimal patient care.

With our experience from starting and running such a team at Univ of Cincinnati, we take pride in breaking these “silos”/barriers to provide a comprehensive team-based approach for your care with your pulmonologist. We often are the first ones to diagnose lung disease because of our special experiences and know-how, and we help you to find a pulmonary doctor who will work with us to improve your health in such circumstances.

We are San Diego’s only community Rheumatology clinic with special expertise and experience in the management of Scleroderma. From being director of the scleroderma center at Univ of Cincinnati with vast clinical, educational, and research experience in scleroderma, we understand the disease like no other and offer unique knowledge and perspective while managing scleroderma.
